1 At the outset of Creation Brahma Narayan was sleeping Seshanaga. So Brahma Purana was written first. 2 Brahmaji came from Navi kamala of Bhagaban. So Padma Purana was written Secondly. 3 As kamala came out from Bhagaban Vishnus Navi so Vishnu Purana was written thirdly. 4 As Bhagaban Vishnu was sleeping on Seshanaga .So the description of Seshanaga was written in Bayu Purana fourthly. 5 Bhagaban Vishnus Adhara was Sesha about whom it was written in Srimad Bhagabat FIFTHLY 6 Naara means water. Hence Narada Purana was written sixthly 7 Some scholars the mulatatwa of Srusti is Prakriti hence Markandeya Purana was written 7thly. In which there’s is description of Prakriti. 8 Some scholars opine Agni as mulatatwa of Srusti hence 8thly there’s description of Agni in Agni Purana. 9 Some scholars opine Prana as mulatatwa of Srusti which was described in Bhabishya Purana 9thly. 10 Veda Vyas opined the total creation is done by Brahma Himself hence 10th Purana is known as Brahma Baibarta MahaPurana. 11,12,13,14.15,16 After the creation of Srusti Brahma gets different Avtar to establish Dharma hence from 11to 16 there’s written Avtars like Linga,Baraha,Skanda,Bamana,Kurma and Machhya Puranas. 17 17th Purana is Garuda Purana in which there’s written about Karma .Jiva gets different births basing on his Karma.
